Joseph Heinrich Beuys (12. mai 1921 – 23. jaanuar 1986) oli saksa kunstnik, õpetaja, tegevuskunstnik ja kunstiteoreetik. Ta peegeldas enda töödes humanismi, sotsioloogiat ja antroposoofiat. Ta rajas provokatiivse kunsti liikumise Fluxus ja oli häpeningide arengu võtmetegelane.

Beuysi teatakse tema "kunsti laiendatud definitsiooni" järgi, mille kohaselt võib n-ö sotsiaalne skulptuur kujundada ühiskonna ja poliitika arengut. Ta debateeris tihti avalikult paljudel teemadel, nagu poliitika, keskkond, ühiskond ning kunst.[1][2]
